BERAT, ALBANIA Tour of Berat, which is a beautiful city in central Albania, known for its UNESCO-listed historic center, Ottoman architecture, and scenic river valley. Also known as the city of a thousand windows, there is a lot to see and do. The tour will include Berat Castle, built in the 13th century, The tour will explore Mangalem Quarter, the historic neighborhood on the left bank of the Osum River. It is characterized by its white houses with wooden balconies and windows, giving Berat its nickname of “the city of a thousand windows”. You can wander through the narrow streets, visit the Ethnographic Museum, and shop for local crafts and souvenirs. Lunch will be at a winery before heading back.
